I won't regale you with tales of listening to what was, for in this age, it can still be so to speak, regarding the beautifully soulful experience that was and is Isaac Hayes during his most productive period. This quartet featuring: "Hot, Buttered Soul", "The Isaac Hayes Movement"," ...To Be Continued" and the aforementioned "Black Moses" are the epitome of what is "Soul Music"! (Not to forget the crossover 'wa-wa' of the Shaft soundtrack which most in the universe have partaken musically. Or should have...!)Here on the last day of 2014 I challenge any who have not yet tasted (or re-discovered) these delectably digitized dramas of diverse duration; you are herewith informed (reminded) to delve right in with any or all of these musical masterpieces and drift away on the breeze of these beats with your favorite lady in tow for nights and days of endless enjoyment. But I don't know what I'm talking about; I only know what I feel, and I feel just fine listening to these tunes. And I believe...so should thee and thou... this New Year's Eve.
